China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Two international standards in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles, led by China, have been officially released

345

Recently, two international standards in the field of civil unmanned aerial vehicles, ISO 4358:2023 "Test Methods for Civil Multi rotor Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems" and ISO 24352:2023 "Technical Requirements for Electric Energy Systems for Light and Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles", led by China, were officially released.

As of now, China has led the development and release of 4 international standards in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles, and is currently compiling 9 international standards.

The "Test Methods for Civil Multi rotor UAV Systems" specifies the test methods for civil multi rotor UAV systems and components, which are applicable to the design, manufacturing, testing, and certification of civil multi rotor UAV systems and components, and can directly guide the development and production of multi rotor UAVs. The Technical Requirements for Electric Energy Systems for Light and Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles stipulate the technical requirements and testing methods for electric energy systems for light and small unmanned aerial vehicles, which can provide reference for the development, production, and testing of electric energy systems for light and small unmanned aerial vehicles.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that the two international standards released this time were approved by the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems Subcommittee (ISO/TC20/SC16) of the Aerospace Technical Committee of the International Organization for Standardization in September 2020. They are an important part of China's unmanned aerial vehicle system standard system construction work and have significant implications for regulating the healthy and orderly development of China's civil unmanned aerial vehicle industry and improving the international competitiveness of products.
