Civil Aviation Administration of China: As of June this year, the number of registered drones nationwide has reached 1.875 million

     At the 3rd International Forum on the Development of Civil Unmanned Aviation in China held on September 24th, it was introduced that the number of Chinese drone companies and practitioners has significantly increased, and the number of drone flights has rapidly increased. As of June 2024, the number of registered drones nationwide has reached 1.875 million, with over 14000 drone operating enterprises and over 225000 drone driver licenses. From January to June this year, the total number of civilian drones flown nationwide was 9.816 million hours, an increase of 134000 hours compared to the same period last year. At the same time, various regions across the country are actively carrying out multi scenario drone operations, combined with infrastructure construction, industrial agglomeration, and professional management service platform construction. Fully utilize new generation information technologies such as cloud computing, big data, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and mobile internet, strengthen technical and operational collaboration, and continuously expand unmanned aerial vehicle operation scenarios.
